Postdoc Research Position On “Enhanced PHY for Cellular Low Power Communication IoT CentraleSupélec-Rennes Campus

The position is based on the extremely active field of cellular IoT. The goal is to evaluate and propose improvements in emerging IoT standards, enhance the trade-off between, on one hand, the achieved rate for the downlink cellular users and, on the other hand, the outage probability for low-rate MTC link.
We are looking on candidates with experience and knowledge on: physical layer and the radio resource management, enhancing coverage, low power transmission and massive access, coexistence capabilities between LTE cellular network and low-rate IoTs. The accepted applicant will closely collaborate with other researchers working in the same field. Besides the applicant must:
1) have excellent oral and writing in English.
2) have a Ph.D. degree in EE or other closely related disciplines.
3) have strong wireless communications background.
4) have already demonstrated research performance and capabilities by publications.
French speaking and/or writing is not required but may be advantageous.
Employment:
The position is for 12 months duration, and will take place at the SCEE (Signal, Communication & Embedded Electronics) research group of CentraleSupélec engineering school in campus of Rennes (France). Expected starting is 1st November 2018.
