The Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt (AAU) and the Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) seek to appoint a Full Professor of Adaptive and Networked Production Systems (with a focus on Informatics).
The methodological research emphasis of the professorship shall encompass the fields Multi Agent Systems, Machine Learning, Automated Planning, and Autonomous Adaptive Systems. Furthermore, candidates are required to demonstrate the successful applicability of their approaches to problem-solving in production or supply chain networks.
The five-year start-up funding provided for the professorship by the industrial sector and by the Private Foundation of the Kärntner Sparkasse serves to underline the significance of this university-level expansion for the ongoing development of the Austrian economy. The budget provides for a generous resource allocation, allowing for 5-6 members of scientific staff.
