Postdoc in Open-Source Software Analytics at University of York

Description

CROSSMINER is an EC H2020 project on knowledge extraction from large
volumes of open-source software. The main objective of the CROSSMINER
work-package led by York is to design and implement a hybrid
textual/graphical framework for the development of declarative OSS
data extraction, persistence and analysis workflows, as well as
algorithms for resilient, parallel and distributed execution of such
workflows.
Requirements:
You will have a PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience. You
will need to have strong skills in object-oriented design and
development (preferably using Java/JVM-based languages) and experience
with one or more of the following: high-performance
relational/non-relational data persistence technologies,
parallel/distributed data management technologies (e.g. Hadoop,
Spark), language engineering frameworks (e.g. GMF, Xtext).
You will also have experience of carrying out both independent and
collaborative research and you will also have experience of writing up
research work for publication. You will have the ability to develop
research objectives, projects and proposals for your own and joint
research, with the assistance of a mentor if required.

Salary will be within the range: £31,604 - £38,832 a year and the post
is available full time on a fixed term contract until 31/12/2019.
