Post-doctoral position in Machine Learning and NeuroImaging at the Adaptive Brain Lab, University of Cambridge

Country/Region : UK - United Kingdom

Website :

Description

A Post-doctoral position is available to work on machine learning applications in neuroimaging at the Adaptive Brain Lab, University of Cambridge, UK (http://www.abg.psychol.cam.ac.uk).
The position will focus on advanced computational modeling of behavioral and multimodal brain imaging data including convolutional networks, and machine learning approaches. The goal of this work is to model the healthy brain and develop applications for earlier diagnosis and intervention in cases of disease and dysfunction.
Research in the lab aims to understand how humans of all ages translate sensory experience into complex decisions and adaptive behaviors. We address this challenge using an interdisciplinary approach that combines behavioral paradigms, computational modeling and high-field brain imaging (MRI, EEG, MEG, TMS). The successful applicant will combine machine learning approaches and state-of-the-art high field brain imaging. They will receive multi-disciplinary research training at the interface between neuroscience, computer science, and engineering.
Applicants should have or be close to obtaining a PhD, and have a strong academic track record, in a relevant area (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Mathemtatics, Neuroscience). Programming skills are essential and experience with computational modeling and/or brain imaging highly desirable.
For informal enquiries please contact Prof. Zoe Kourtzi (zk240-AT-cam.ac.uk). Please include CV and a brief statement of research background and interests.
