We are seeking a full-time Senior Research Fellow to join the Machine Learning Research Group and the Oxford-Man Institute. This is a Faculty appointment with conversion to a tenured Associate Professorship at the end of the 5 years, subject to the University’s usual probation conditions.
To help build initial research capacity, funds to recruit a postdoctoral research assistant will be allocated to the successful candidate.
You will be responsible for the development and coordination of research projects in the application of machine learning to finance, as well as offering supervision to postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers. This will involve monitoring budgets, developing funding proposals, conducting teaching, writing research articles and presenting at conferences.
You should possess a doctorate in a field relevant to the position, have a proven research record with good research potential in the field of machine learning and have the ability to secure research funding in this exciting field. You should also have an aptitude for teaching as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
