PhD Position in Robotics and Machine Learning
King's College London
Centre for Robotics Research, Department of Informatics
Applications are invited for an PhD Scholarship in the Centre for
Robotics Research, Department of Informatics at King's College London.
This is an industry-sponsored PhD studentship commencing from September
2017 (or as soon as possible thereafter). The funding will cover fees
and living costs for UK/EU students.
The successful candidate will undertake research into human-robot
interaction and machine learning techniques for imitation
learning/programming by demonstration of robotic systems applied to
fresh produce production. The project will involve working closely with
a UK business supplying herbs and salads to the retail sector.
She/he will hold a relevant degree (computer science, mechanical or
electrical engineering, or similar) as well as good programming skills
and a strong mathematical background. Experience in robotics and/or
statistical machine learning is a plus. Candidates are encouraged to
highlight relevant industrial experience in their application.
