Postdoc position on Data Mining at Texas A&M University

Description

Job description: This is a full-time position for one year with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be working on data mining, machine learning and their applications on social computing, and health informatics. The candidate will work closely with the PI Dr. Xia "Ben" Hu. The expected starting date is May 1, 2017, or as soon as possible thereafter.
Closing date for applications: Evaluation will start immediately and continue until the position is filled.
Requirements:
1) PhD, or near to completion of a PhD in a related subject area.
2) Excellent programming skills.
3) Proven publication record in top-tier conferences (e.g. IJCAI, AAAI, NIPS, ICML, KDD, ACL, WWW, SIGIR, WSDM).
4) Ability in effective and persuasive communication.
