Maana is looking for researchers in Artificial Intelligence, with focus in either machine learning or knowledge representation, to join our Applied Research team in Bellevue. Our team supports the Maana Platform with R&D in the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, knowledge extraction and management, and natural language processing. Our work is math/computer science heavy and requires knowledge of algorithms, programming, distributed systems, machine learning, knowledge representation and inference, and artificial intelligence. We have fun, work as a team, solve hard problems, create intellectual property, write papers, and provide the company with unique capabilities that will help us differentiate in a crowded market.
Candidates for all positions should have strong programming skills, excellent communication skills, work well in teams, and bring creative approaches to each problem they tackle. PhD and publication history from top tier conferences in relevant areas strongly preferred. The Senior/Principal positions require more experience, leadership, technical excellence, strategic vision, and self-direction.
We currently have several open positions in the following areas:
Data Science/ML- We're interested in state of the art ml research, especially creation and use of knowledge bases, multi-task learning/domain adaptation, agents and reinforcement learning, and deep nets.
Knowledge Representation and Artificial Intelligence - Here we are interested in people with a strong background in KR and Inference (logics, other tools), classical AI algorithms, mining knowledge from text, and experience with modern AI systems such as chat bots, learning agents, etc.
