Tenure-Track Positions in Data Science and AI at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey

The Computer Science Department at Rutgers University invites applications for several Tenure-Track Assistant Professor positions focusing on Data Science, AI and related application domains.
The appointments will start September 1st, 2017.
For the AI and Data Science positions: We are interested in applicants with expertise in areas such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, distributed decision-making, knowledge representation, scalable algorithms for big data analysis, large scale modeling & visualization, human-computer interaction, natural language processing, visual analytics, medical image analysis and computer vision. Scalable solutions with impact to real-world applications and multi-disciplinary research are encouraged.
Rutgers University offers an exciting and multidisciplinary research environment and encourages collaborations between Computer Science and other disciplines. Its location closer to major metropolitan areas along the Northeastern US provides many cultural and social opportunities. Rutgers is also in the middle of the greatest concentration of industrial and government research laboratories in the US.
Responsibilities include research, teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in various fields of Computer Science and supervision of PhD students based on funded projects.
Applicants should show evidence of exceptional research promise with potential for external funding, and commitment to quality advising and teaching. Hired candidates must complete their Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field by July 30, 2017.
