A fully-funded post-doctoral research position is proposed in Technicolor’s Imaging Science Lab in Rennes Research & Innovation Center, France. The position is open for a PhD graduate on an 18 month, full time basis.
MISSION
We are looking for a post-doc candidate in computer vision and machine leaning. One of his/her main roles will be to develop novel and breakthrough computer vision and machine learning algorithms to solve real problems in the visual effects industry such as rotoscoping, matting, despilling and tracking.
the successful applicant will:
- Propose innovative technologies and ensure development up to the level of proof-of-concept.
- Conduct, present research activities and demonstrate results in conferences and journals.
- Drive his research in conjunction with Technicolor’s business units.
- Generate intellectual property (patents).
- Propose new research directions to feed Technicolor innovation.
PROFILE
- Ph.D. in Computer Vision, machine learning, and connected fields.
- Strong background in Computer Vision and Deep Learning frameworks.
- Experience in software development (C++, python, git).
- Industry experience is appreciated. Hands-on compositing software is a plus.
- Proven track record in publications, technical innovation and problem solving.
- Team spirit, enthusiastic, motivated, and creative attitude.
- Good communication skills to promote activities internally and externally.
- Fluent English mandatory
