Statistics/Machine Learning Assistant Professor
The Department of Information, Risk, and Operations Management in the McCombs School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning Fall 2017 in the areas of statistics, machine learning or data science, with a focus on applications in business, economics or the social sciences. Major topics of research by faculty currently in the area include Bayesian analysis, statistical computation, financial econometrics, casual inference, health care, marketing, and nonparametric methods. The appointment is expected to be at the Assistant Professor level without tenure; however, exceptional scholars at any rank are encouraged to apply and prior experience is valued.
Applicants are expected to have high potential for research and teaching excellence. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in statistics, machine learning or a closely related field, or be assured of its completion by Fall 2017.
