Postdoc position on Machine Learning and NLP in Campo Grande

The Laboratório de Inteligência Artificial (LIA) of FACOM-UFMS [1] is
opening a postdoctoral position in Campo Grande-MS, Brazil [2], within
the scope of a CAPES-funded project. The selected candidate will work
on machine learning algorithms for natural language processing tasks
and applications (parsing, entity recognition, sentiment analysis,
relation extraction, among others). More specifically, we are
interested in developing representation learning methods (based on
word embeddings and other deep learning techniques) tailored to
semi-supervised scenarios (domain adaptation, active learning, etc.).
The selected candidate will work directly with the project coordinator
(Prof. Dr. Eraldo R. Fernandes), other researches from LIA, and the
project collaborator Prof. Dr. Ulf Brefeld [3] (Leu?pha?na
Uni?ver?sität Lüne?burg).
The position is for ~14 months (ends Jan 2018) with a monthly net
salary of R$ 4,100.00.
We are looking for people holding a PhD in computer science or
pertaining area, with proven experience in machine learning and strong
coding skills. Preferably the candidate should have previous
experience in natural language processing and deep learning.
