Postdoctoral Position at the University of Hong Kong: Hidden Markov modeling of eye movements

Applicants are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Cognitive Science to commence as soon as possible but not later than February 28, 2017 for a period of 1 year, with the possibility of renewal up to 3 years.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, or related fields, good programming skills, experience in Matlab and knowledge of machine learning methods. Preference will be given to those with experience in hidden Markov modelling or eye tracking experiments and analysis. The appointee will work with Dr. Janet Hsiao (Department of Psychology, University of Hong Kong) and Dr. Antoni Chan (Department of Computer Science, City University of Hong Kong), on projects related to hidden Markov modelling of eye movements in cognitive tasks and the application of this method to the understanding of cognitive deficits in the clinical population. The projects involve developing hidden Markov model based approaches for analyzing eye movement data, in collaboration with Dr. Sherry Chan (Department of Psychiatry, University of Hong Kong) and Professor Tatia Lee (Department of Psychology, University of Hong Kong).
