We are looking for two PhD students in machine learning. The topics are probabilistic graphical models, deep neural nets, and optimization in machine learning.
The study will be fully funded, in part from university scholarship and in part from a Czech Science Foundation project starting in 2016.
The candidates should have an MS degree from electrical engineering, computer science or applied math (exceptions are possible), good mathematical skills, and motivation to do theoretical research. Previous exposure to machine learning and computer vision as well as programming skills are welcome.
The students will be supervised by Tomas Werner or Boris Flach.
The Center for Machine Perception is a top quality research group in the fields of computer vision, robotics and machine learning. It provides a friendly and motivating environment for young scientists.
