The Dean of the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University, invites
applications for one position of either Assistant Professor
(preferred) or Lecturer in Information Technology Security,
with the Department of Computer Systems and Communications.
The Faculty has a strong PhD program (with over students) and a
highly successful Master programme in Information Technology
Security (ITSec), based on ongoing R&D activites in the areas
of network security, cryptology, security of smartcards and
other authentication technologies, and usable security.

Job description:
* Involvement in teaching in the ITSec Master programme.
* Supervision of Master theses and consultancy/co-supervision of PhDs.
* Involvement in expanding industrial cooperation in the ITSec area.
* Active international cooperation, in both research and education.
Requirements:
* PhD in Informatics or related discipline.
* Fluent English (both spoken and written), other language(s) welcome.
* Existing track record in both education and research in the ITSec area.
* Expert knowledge in at least one of the areas covered by courses
- PA193 Secure coding principles and practices
,
- PV204 Security Technologies
,
- PA197 Secure Network Design
,
- PV181 Laboratory of security and applied cryptography
.
* Dynamic, flexible personality, able to work in interdisciplinary teams.
* Capabilities in project and knowledge management, interests in
fundamental and applied development in the ITSec area.
* Experience from other countries than Czech & Slovak Republics
(at least half a year).
* Experience with research project team leadership is an advantage.
