Faculty Position in Software Engineering at Gyeongsang National University

The Department of Aerospace and Software Engineering (http://anse.gnu.ac.kr) at Gyeongsang National University (GNU), Korea, is seeking outstanding bilingual in English and Korean scholar for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position expected to start in March, 2016.
Department of Aerospace and Software Engineering aims to educate the professoional engineers in the areas for safty-critical and reliable airborne system. The prospects for our graduates remain brighter than ever, as the need for high-quality system engineers continues to increase worldwide. Specially, there are huge demands from industires in nearby aircraft complex.
Since its establishment for specialized embedded software in 2005, we host ITRC (Information Technology Research Center) for development of avionics software in 2009. Based on this experience, software education program for master degree and BK21 Plus (Brain Korea 21 Program for Leading Universities & Students) program have successfully launched. Consequently, we are going to establish converged education system for advanced engineer by participating CK (University for Creative Korea) project together with Aerospace Engineering program as well as cultivate engineers with the global minds through several international programs.

Eligible candidates are those who have earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. Priority area is software engineering (systems analysis/requirements engineering/testing; secure coding/design for security; data integration; project/program management; and software systems architecture). Eligible candidates should have at least three research publications as first or correponding author. Each publication should be journal indexed by SCI(E) or international conference sponsored by IEEE computer society and ACM.
