NICTA and CSIRO join forces to create Data61, the largest data innovation group in Australia. For my team in Sydney, we are seeking a full-time postdoctoral fellow in Activity Recognition, to assist in the design and development of a multi-residential activity recognition system in a smart home environment. The successful candidate will be joining the Data Mining Team and work in a multidisciplinary project with colleagues from Data61 and CSIRO Health and Biosecurity.
The position requires a person capable of investigating and developing novel data mining/machine learning algorithms for multi-residential activity recognition, and analysing real-world sensor data to design and evaluate algorithms.
To be considered you will have a doctorate (or will shortly satisfy the requirements of a PhD) in a relevant discipline area, such as computer science and have no more than 3 years of relevant postdoctoral experience.
