Postdoctoral Position in Data Analysis for Chronic Cardiac Care at University of Copenhagen

The postdoc will be expected to perform statistical analysis of data from patients suffering from chronic heart diseases, in particular of data generated by advanced pacemakers (ICD), and to devise methods for automatic detection and prediction of symptoms as well as for treatment optimization. The postdoc will be based at DIKU's machine learning lab.
Candidates must already possess (or soon obtain) a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics. A strong background in statistical data analysis is required. This must be documented by at least one first-author publication in a top tier venue (such as NIPS, ICML, AISTATS). Documented knowledge in scientific programming (C++, Python, and/or R) is required. Knowledge in medical data analysis is a plus.
The position can start as early as 1 November 2015, but the exact starting date is negotiable.

Terms of employment
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
The starting salary is currently up to DKK 405,501 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 69,341). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
