Description

Glasgow Polyomics Statistical/Machine Learning Data Analyst
Reference Number: M00618
Grade 6/7: £27,057 - £37,394
The purpose of this job is to perform analysis of the large, complex, multi-platform (multi-omic) data sets generated at the Glasgow Polyomics Facility (GPF). It will also involve writing software to implement developed algorithms, such that it can be used in a production environment.
The purpose of the job is also to interact in a collaborative and service capacity with GPF users to maximise the output of their datasets through novel analytical methods, and to disseminate that knowledge to staff and students through mentoring and training.
This position is funded for 2 years in the first instance. We anticipate that this position will continue to be extended, in line with, and dependent on, GPF funding.
