The Skoltech Space Robotics Laboratory and Wearable Media Laboratory, Moscow, Russia has a postdoctoral position in the area of Robotics, Haptics and Virtual Reality for a period of up to 2 years.
Research Areas
Postdoctoral researcher is responsible for contribution and supervision of some of the following research projects: mobile robot navigation system with haptic vision, iFeel_IM! real-time communication system with rich emotional and haptic channels, VR simulator for nurse training with haptic feedback, wearable fingerpad haptic display with inverted 5-bar linkage, telexistence robotic system with haptic and tactile feedback, humanoid robot design, medical robotics.

Qualifications
Successful candidates will have
a PhD in Robotics/ Information Science and Technology/ Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering
a strong background in robotics, haptics, programming languages (C++, Java, Python), mechanics, CAD, Matlab, DSP, system control engineering
Applicants with the expertise in robot control and haptic display design are particularly encouraged to apply. The knowledge of computer graphics and visual displays will be a plus. The candidate is expected to be confident, self-driven, have a strong work-capacity, enthusiasm for science, and ambitious.
