Description

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research position focussing on Medical Image Analysis in the Information Science and Engineering (ISE) lab headed by Prof. Joachim Buhmann at ETH Zurich.
Applicants should be highly motivated and creative, show an exceptional track record, and hold a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields, and be interested in working in an interdisciplinary group at the interface of Medical Image Analysis and Machine Learning. Applicants should have a strong publication record at the relevant conferences (e.g. NIPS, ICML, MICCAI, CVPR) and Journals (e.g. JMLR, T-PAMI).
The Information Science and Engineering (ISE) lab is headed by Prof. Joachim M. Buhmann. Members of the group work on diverse topics ranging from foundations of statistical learning to applications in bioinformatics, medical informatics and beyond. Alumni of the lab now hold positions which range from faculty positions in the world’s top universities (Columbia Univ., UCSB, MSKCC, ETH Zurich, Heidelberg Univ., Univ Basel…) to research positions in companies such as Google and Yahoo. The ISE lab is part of the newly formed Machine Learning Institute as well as the Research Center on Learning Systems between ETH and the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen.
To apply, please submit a complete (preferably electronic) application to mljobs-AT-inf.ethz.ch which should include:
A current CV
