Endowed Chair Engineering - Mechanical at The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Louisville

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Louisville is searching for an Endowed Chair in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates should be energetic and recognized leaders, with research expertise in Manufacturing related areas, including but not limited to novel materials, nanomanufacturing, materials processing, design, process control, and additive manufacturing. As a prominent position of leadership, this Endowed Chair is expected to be an outstanding scholar, who significantly contributes to the University's national and international research profile.
Qualifications
The candidate must have an earned Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, and an outstanding record of scientific research, doctoral student mentoring and continuous extramural research funding. The successful candidate will continue their research program, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and mentor younger colleagues. Moreover, this Endowed Chair will be uniquely positioned to influence the ongoing development of the Belknap Engineering and Applied Sciences Park, adjacent to the Speed School of Engineering.
