The Associate Vice Chancellor for Economic Development will support the Vice Chancellor for Research and Economic Development in advancing UNCG’s priorities in the area of economic development, technology commercialization, industry collaboration, entrepreneurship and technology-based Economic Development.
The Associate Vice Chancellor will provide leadership and expertise in improving the economic prospects in high value industries, as well as, create partnerships that link university, state and industry resources to address economic development needs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business, Economics or a field closely aligned with Economic Development from an accredited college or university;
Five to seven (5-7) years experience in a leadership position;
Experience working with high level public officials, corporate and community leaders and boards of directors;
Excellent communication and planning skills.
