The University of Luxembourg seeks to hire outstanding Research Associates at its “Software Verification and Validation” (SVV) Laboratory.
SVV (www.svv.lu) is a new, large, and international laboratory in software verification and validation, aimed at conducting applied research in close collaboration with industry partners. The laboratory was founded in 2012 by Prof. Briand through a large PEARL grant awarded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR). The working language of the laboratory is English.
SVV is part of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT, www.securityandtrust.lu) at the University of Luxembourg (www.uni.lu).
SnT, established in 2009 and currently employing more than 200 staff members, carries out interdisciplinary research in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) systems and services, in collaboration with industrial, governmental and international partners. SnT is active in several international research projects funded by the EU 7th framework programme and the European Space Agency.
The University of Luxembourg was established in 2003 as a research-focused university and has since been quickly expanding and hiring internationally renowned scientists and academics.

Your Role
You will take part in projects with industry partners of the software verification and validation laboratory through contributing to and managing projects. This includes but is not limited to, supporting the laboratory in project planning and execution, preparing and reviewing deliverables, communicating and coordinating with partners, planning and participating in project meetings, dissemination activities, and project reporting. You will prepare and submit scientific material for peer-review and publication independently or in collaboration with other researchers.

Your Profile
A PhD in software engineering, preferably with a focus on model-driven engineering, testing and verification, and application security.
Experience in the ICT industry will be considered an advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory.
