Invitation for excellent scientists to join Centre of Molecular Inflammation Research (CEMIR) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). CEMIR is seeking outstanding international candidates for positions as Postdoctoral Fellow within the field of molecular inflammation research.
Through our network of national and international collaborations, unique career and cooperation possibilities are offered. The laboratories of CEMIR have state of the art cellular imaging instruments such as: a high resolution STED confocal microscope, total internal reflection fluorescence microscope, live cell- and spinning disk confocal microscopes, image flow cytometer, cell sorter and also a confocal microscope installed in a biosafety level 3 facility. Moreover, CEMIR scientists have access to local core facilities in bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics, imaging and research involving laboratory animals (http://www.ntnu.edu/dmf/core-facilities).
Job description
We are searching for candidates with a strong background and interest in applying modern cell and molecular biology techniques including advanced imaging techniques to understand the common underlying mechanisms of inflammatory disorders, and/or to translate such research on human disease models through collaboration with clinical research groups and use of available biobanks.

Candidates must have
A PhD degree in cell biology, biochemistry, immunology or medicine.
A strong experience in cell- and molecular biology techniques.
Fluent English language skills
A strong motivation to work as members of a team.
An independent attitude.
Terms of employment
Depending on qualifications and academic background, Postdoctoral Fellows at the Faculty of Medicine will be remunerated at wage code 1352 - levels 57 to 77 on the Norwegian State salary scale, with gross salary from NOK 482 500,- to NOK 710 100 ,- a year, of which 2% is deducted for the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund. Normal wage level is 57-60. A yearly amount for operating costs will be added.
