Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad has invited applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to be hired on contract basis. The chosen JRF will work on the research project entitled “Flow Control in Complex Ducts using Synthetic Jets” sponsored by Science Engineering Research Board (SERB), Technology Bhawan, New Mehrauli Road, New Delhi.

Fellowship: Rs 16,000 per month
Other Benefits: Accommodation may be available as per availability. Eligible candidates may also be allowed to enter for the PhD program at the institute. Medical benefits, yearly leaves and carry-over leaves are allowed as per the rules applicable for project staff.
Educational Qualification:
Interested candidates must be GATE qualified.
They should have done ME or M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Energy, Power Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Electronics Engineering, Fluids Engineering or Thermal Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate or CPI of 6.5.
Other Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate should not be more than 28 years old on the date of application. Relaxation of up to 5 years is allowed for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Physically Handicapped (PH) and women candidates.
Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience.

Filled-in application form (available on the official website of NIT Allahabad) should reach with copies of supporting documents to the Office of the Dean (Research & Consultancy), MNNIT Allahabad ? 211004 ? latest by September 6, 2014.
On the envelope, do write ? Application for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (on contract) in the Research Project “Flow Control in Complex Ducts using Synthetic Jets”.

Applicants who are already employed will need to submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their employer at the time of the interview.
The appointment will be made on contract basis for one year initially, which can be extended depending on performance evaluation of the candidate until the project gets completed.
