Applications are invited for a postdoc position at the University of Bristol, UK, within the context of a new EPSRC project titled "Data science for the detection of emerging music styles" with Dr. Tijl De Bie as Principal Investigator and Dr. Matt McVicar as Researcher Co-Investigator.
The position is for up to 2 years, and due to start on 1 November 2014 or soon thereafter.
We are looking for a top researcher with PhD-level expertise in algorithmic data mining and/or related research areas as listed in the Further Particulars for this post, to complement the rest of the research team. Expertise in music informatics or a general affinity with popular music is desirable.

Anticipated interview date: late September / early October.
