1 to 2 year Post-Doc in macine learning and NLP on EU funded project STAC

In the context of the ERC Advanced Researcher project STAC
(StrategicConversation), we are seeking a post doctoral fellow for 1
to 2 years to work with STAC members at the University of Toulouse on
automated statistical discourse analysis for Natural Language texts
and dialogues. Funded by the European Union, STAC is a five year
international interdisciplinary project that aims to develop a new,
formal and robust model of conversation, drawing from ideas in
linguistics, philosophy, computer science and economics. Within this
context, the goal of this post-doc is to advance the state of the art
in automated rhetorical analysis, especially the analysis of
dialogues, through the use of innovative machine learning algorithms,
inspired from recent work both on structured output prediction and
semi-supervised learning.
We are particularly interested in applicants with strong background in
supervised and semi-supervised machine learning with familiarity in
structured output prediction algorithms. Familiarity with Natural
Language Processing techniques, such as syntactic parsing, and
techniques for processing chat or dialogue data is a plus.
